Cookie Policy
Version 1.3 – Effective from March 15, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and provide essential functionality.
2. Our Cookie Usage
We use essential cookies that are strictly necessary for our service to function, plus limited third-party services for security and analytics as described below.
3. Cookies We Use
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| session | Keeps you logged in while using the service | Session (deleted when browser closes) |
| __stripe_mid | Fraud prevention for payment processing | 1 year (payment pages only) |
| __stripe_sid | Fraud prevention session signal for payment processing | 30 minutes (payment pages only) |
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
Bot Protection (CAPTCHA)
We use a self-hosted, proof-of-work CAPTCHA on login, registration, and password reset pages to protect against bots and automated abuse. This system runs entirely on our own servers. It does not set any cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not send any information to third parties. Your browser solves a small computational puzzle locally to prove it is not a bot.
Stripe
On payment pages, we use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe sets __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid cookies solely for fraud prevention. These cookies are not used for advertising or tracking. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Cookieless Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not set cookies. Umami collects anonymized usage data (page views, device type, country derived from IP address) for aggregate statistical analysis. No data is shared with advertisers or used for profiling.
We do not use: Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, or any advertising or retargeting cookies.
5. Managing Cookies
Our essential cookies are required for the service to work. Disabling them will prevent you from logging in. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Privacy, Search, and Services → Cookies
6. Updates to This Policy
If we change our cookie practices, we will update this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or a notice on our website.
